The Lab
The Lab is where Tradie Labs studies the construction industry’s most persistent challenges — workforce volatility, operational friction and fragmented systems.
We focus deeply on one problem at a time. We observe, test assumptions and build deliberately. Everything that comes out of The Lab is designed to be practical, deployable and grounded in real operating conditions.
Today, The Lab is focused on workforce infrastructure. As the industry evolves, so will the work.

Drive My Plow
A workforce marketplace connecting qualified drivers with companies responsible for winter maintenance.
The platform is built to address seasonal labour shortages, reliability issues and the operational complexity that makes winter operations difficult to staff and manage.
Drive My Plow is the first product to come out of The Lab — and a foundation for future workforce systems.

Construction Confidential
Alongside product development, Tradie Labs publishes short-form writing through Construction Confidential.
These essays explore how construction really works. Its incentives, blind spots, history and systems — and where meaningful change is most needed.
Writing is not a marketing exercise. It’s part of how we think, test ideas and document what we’re learning as we build.
